Helpful, sociable person wanted as a Volunteer Activities Assistant. Tasks include interacting with residents to help promote and encourage their independence and well-being. Assisting Activity Co-ordinator in setting up and taking part in activities and events for residents. Activities range from playing bingo, walking, exercise, baking (or whatever skills you have that you can teach). This roles provides great job satisfaction. Socialising with the residents helps brighten their day. Hours are flexible to suit volunteer. A minimum of a 12 month commitment is requested of all volunteers. Free morning tea provided when volunteering during tea times. Come and have a chat and learn the fascinating lives of our residents or share your life stories.
