Community Visitor

People Who Care Mandurah

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility or at home receiving a home care package and their local community. The aim of the scheme is to improve the quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation. Minimum requirement is to visit for one hour a fortnight. However, volunteers can visit weekly.
