Are you a retired or soon-to-be-retired financial professional who loves animals? Wildlife Rescue Australia  is a small passionate non-profit, all volunteer animal welfare rescue looking for a reliable, mature-minded Volunteer Treasurer to manage our basic finances.

This role is part-time, completely online and remote, allowing you to work from “anywhere”. Perfectly suited to a mature retired or semi-retired accountant, accounts person, auditor, company secretary, or bookkeeper looking to give back. We also welcome mature candidates looking to fulfill Centrelink mutual obligations on their way to retirement. And we are looking for commitment - at least one year.

📋 What You Will Do

• Liaise with our Management team on a regular basis. 
• Maintain simple financial records and track donations.
• Provide basic monthly or quarterly financial updates.
• Ensure financial compliance.
• Undertake Initial call centre training/work in order to understand our business.

✔️ What We Are Looking For

• A background in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or corporate governance.
• A genuine passion for animal welfare.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable internet access.
• Someone with an interest and/or understanding of our work and willingness to work with our member volunteer team. 
• Ability to provide multiple checkable and verifiable references.
