Volunteer Position: Donation Collection Volunteer

Days Required: Tuesday (Weekly)

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and committed Volunteer to assist with the weekly collection of donated goods from local stores in Eastwood. This role plays a vital part in supporting our community programs by ensuring donated items are picked up on time and delivered safely to our centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect donated food and goods from designated local store on Tuesday.
  • Follow the weekly collection schedule and ensure all pick-ups are completed.
  • Build positive relationships with store partner and represent the organisation professionally.
  • Safely transport donations to our centre using your own vehicle (if applicable).
  • Record quantities or types of donations collected, as required.
  • Report any issues, missed pick-ups, or changes in store arrangements to the coordinator.
  • Maintain confidentiality, respect, and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to lift small to medium-weight items safely.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful attitude.
  • Commitment to the volunteer schedule (Every Tuesday's).
  • Reliability and punctuality.

  • Community-minded and passionate about helping others.
  • Trustworthy and responsible.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive and professional when interacting with store staff and the public.
