BRRVLN is a not-for-profit incorporated association, governed by a volunteer Executive Board appointed at the annual general meeting and operated in compliance with the BRRVLN constitution. BRRVLN employs a bookkeeper to manage most of the financial activities of the organisation. The bookkeeper’s role is supported by the BRRVLN treasurer.
The treasurer shall:
a. Maintain the financial records of the association and ensure that reports showing the financial position of the association are produced as required for meetings and for any audit.
b. EFT payments made from the association’s funds and all other financial transactions, must be authorised by the Committee in line with BRRVLN Financial Management Policy including authorization by two signatories as members of the committee. In practice, the treasurer authorises payments including wages on a weekly basis.
