Many older people living in residential aged care miss having someone in their life who visits just because they care.

A regular visitor brings more than conversation. They bring companionship, connection and the comfort of knowing someone is thinking of them.

Through Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors, you can spend just one hour a week, or one hour a fortnight, building a genuine friendship with an older person who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation.

You will be thoughtfully matched with someone who shares similar interests, hobbies or life experiences. Over time, what begins as a simple introduction can grow into a trusted friendship built on shared stories, laughter and companionship.

Whether you're enjoying a cup of tea, chatting about local events, reminiscing about familiar places or simply spending time together, your visits can become something they genuinely look forward to.

Sometimes the most meaningful friendships are the ones we never expected to find.

We're looking for kind, reliable volunteers who can commit to regular visits and enjoy getting to know someone over time. No special skills or experience are required. Just a willingness to listen, share stories and be a friendly face.
