The Mission

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue QLD Inc (CKCSRQ) is a registered charity run entirely by dedicated volunteers. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for Cavaliers in need. We rely on our digital presence to educate the public on responsible ownership, raise vital funds, and—most importantly—share the journey of our dogs from rescue to their forever sofas.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the Narrative: Plan and execute a monthly content calendar across Facebook and Instagram to keep our community engaged.
  • Creative Content Creation: Design high-quality posts, stories, and reels using photos and videos of our rescue dogs.
  • Brand Voice Advocacy: Write clear, compassionate, and on-brand captions that drive engagement and adoption inquiries.
  • Campaign Promotion: Lead the digital charge for fundraising events and urgent rescue appeals.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor comments and messages, ensuring our online space remains a supportive and positive environment.
  • Insights & Reporting: Track basic engagement metrics and provide a brief monthly update to the committee.

What You Bring

  • Social Media Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Facebook and Instagram, including Reels, Stories, and Meta Business Suite.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written skills with the ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism.
  • Design Savvy: Basic photo/video editing skills (proficiency in Canva is highly regarded).
  • Reliability: An organised approach to volunteering and the ability to meet consistent weekly deadlines.
  • Passion: A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to CKCSRQ’s mission of animal welfare.

You’ll be joining a supportive, virtual team of volunteers who are spread across South East Queensland and united by a shared purpose. We are a "get-it-done" group that values heart, integrity, and the occasional puppy photo in our group chat.
