Volunteer Opportunity: Technical Data Volunteer

Are you technically minded, love solving problems and want to use your skills to make a real difference?

The Nappy Collective is looking for a Technical Data Volunteer to join our fully remote team and work alongside our existing Data Volunteer.

The Nappy Collective supports families experiencing hardship by collecting and redistributing nappies to families in need across Australia. Our data, spreadsheets and systems play an important role behind the scenes, helping our team and volunteers get nappies where they're needed most.

As our organisation continues to grow, we're looking for several technically skilled volunteers to help support our current systems and share the workload.

What you'll be doing:

You'll work with our team to help maintain, improve and troubleshoot the systems and data processes that support our day-to-day operations.

This may include:

• Maintaining and improving Google Sheets
• Creating and troubleshooting formulas and data validation
• Developing and maintaining scripts using JavaScript and Google Apps Script
• Helping automate processes and improve data workflows
• Troubleshooting data and system issues
• Using version control such as Git
• Working with structured data
• Supporting our existing Data Volunteer with ongoing projects and improvements

What you'll need:

Must have:

• Intermediate Google Sheets experience, including formulas and data validation
• Experience with JavaScript and Google Apps Script
• Experience using version control, such as Git
• Valid WWCC in your state
• Confidence working with structured data
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team

Nice to have:

• Salesforce experience
• Squarespace experience
