The Role: Chapter Coordinator – Newcastle

The Chapter Coordinator leads the local chapter by growing a small volunteer team, organising activities, and supporting community engagement and fundraising efforts. Reporting to: National Outreach Coordinator As the chapter grows, you’ll help develop and support volunteers who may take on roles such as:

• Events coordination
• Merchandise and fundraising support
• Volunteer coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Grow the Chapter
• Recruit and support new volunteers
• Build a positive and inclusive team environment
  Help build Sea Shepherd’s presence in the Newcastle community
  Lead and Support Volunteers
• Coordinate and guide a small team of volunteers
• Delegate tasks and support team members as the chapter grows Community Engagement
• Represent the organisation professionally with the public and community groups
• Raise awareness about Sea Shepherd campaigns and ocean conservation
• Events & Fundraising
• Organise local events such as clean-ups, stalls and fundraising activities Administration
• Manage the local chapter email and enquiries
• Work with Head Office for support, guidance and training
