Online Workshop Support

Satellite Foundation

Logo for Satellite Foundation

Join Our Team as a Online Workshop Support volunteer for Satellite’s January programs!

Satellite Foundation is a not-for-profit that connects and empowers children and young people who have a family member living with mental health challenges.

We're on the lookout for passionate volunteers to support our online creative workshops for young people aged 8 to 17 who have a parent or carer experiencing mental health challenges. As an Online Workshop Support volunteer, you would be helping us create a safe, supportive online environment where young people can connect with peers, build confidence and explore their strengths.

We’re particularly interested in those with backgrounds in social work, youth work, education, mental health, disability support, creative facilitation, peer work or related fields. However, if you have experience working with young people (particularly in online environments) and are eager to contribute, we'd love to hear from you too!

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

  • Do the creative activity beforehand and be prepared to share about it during the workshop
  • Support the facilitators by observing participants and contacting the supervising manager with any concerns during the workshop
  • Leading by example and encouraging active participation in workshop activities
  • Modelling positive and respectful behaviour
  • Building rapport with participants and fostering connections among them

Interested? Hit Apply or get in touch with Satellite's Volunteer Manager Lou Malcolm via [email protected] by Friday 23rd October.
