About CCA NSW CCA NSW is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and families across New South Wales. We deliver emergency relief, social support, food programs, and community development services. Our mission is to create a caring and connected community where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Position Overview As a Front Office Volunteer, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while helping with day-to-day administration and customer service tasks.

Key Duties

• Greet and welcome all visitors in a friendly and respectful manner
• Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, or direct calls as appropriate
• Assist with intake and basic inquiries from clients and community members
• Help with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing documents.
• Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area
• Support the coordination of volunteers and community appointments when needed
• Assist staff with scheduling and distributing resources (e.g. food parcels)

Skills and Experience Essential:

• A warm, respectful, and empathetic communication style
• Good verbal and written English skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally
• Punctuality and reliability

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience in reception or customer service
• Multilingual skills
• Familiarity with community services

Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
