We need a treasurer to correctly record and explain transactions, our financial position and performance; and enable financial statements to be prepared as required by the Act for incorporated associations in Victoria.

The Treasurer is a responsible person for the organisation.

We need a Treasurer who is suitably skilled and reliable, passionate about making positive changes in the Australian community to join our small charity which is passionately driven by people dedicated to making a difference to not only a population of Australian's with a rare disease but also the wider community as we work to successfully bring around positive change to the health system in general.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Attendance to supplier payments
• Attendance to the reconciliation of the bank account (via Xero)
• Preparation of business activity statements (quarterly basis)
• Preparation of financial report (annual basis)
• Preparation of management report (bi-monthly)

NB that we meet electronically and have committee members in several states. Any potential candidate for the role of Treasurer needs to live in Melbourne so they can attend a bank branch with other committee members, aside from that all you need is an internet connection.
