Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of older people? When you become an Anglicare Volunteer, you join a dedicated team who brighten people’s lives every day.

Exercise is important at every age. As an Exercise Assistant Volunteer, you will play a supportive role alongside our staff, encouraging residents to participate in walking-based activities.

This is a people‑focused role. Volunteers assist residents as they walk around their home or accompany them to and from exercise classes. You may also support residents by pushing wheelchairs or walking beside them to ensure comfort and safety.

This role requires compassion for older people, patience, and a willingness to work collaboratively with staff. It is ideal for someone who can commit to at least six months of ongoing engagement, allowing time to build meaningful connections with residents and the team. While the role may suit physiotherapy or exercise science students, no prior experience is required—full training will be provided.

Volunteering with Anglicare offers the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact in the lives of elderly residents. You’ll be part of a supportive, social environment where you can share your skills, build meaningful connections, and contribute to residents’ wellbeing. Join a team of dedicated individuals who are passionate about enhancing quality of life for those in our care.

Volunteer applicants must be over 18 years of age.
