Computers4Learning (C4L) is a wholly volunteer-run social enterprise. We refurbish donated computers and make them available to eligible customers. We support students, seniors and other community organisations who contact us on behalf of their clients.

Our Managing Director is wearing too many hats and she wants to take one off occasionally. So if you have experience in customer service and/or office administration we would love to hear from you!

Your role will involve liaising with customers who are interested in purchasing our refurbished computers.

Initially you will ‘meet’ your customers via email or by phone so it is important that you are personable and make a great impression via your written and oral communication skills.

It is also important that you are able to listen and clarify what each customer needs in order to be able to best meet their needs. If this sounds like you, then read on.

You might need to:

• Liaise with customers who wish to buy refurbished laptops and desktops.

• Respond to customer enquiries

• Process customer orders via our CRM system

• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and provide their perfect IT solution.

• Liaise with our tech team.

• Arrange device collection, extending the warm welcome of C4L to every recipient.

• Be the friendly face (or voice) that interacts with our customers, ensuring their device meets their expectations.

• Form meaningful connections that amplify the impact of our technology.

• Help new volunteers or students on placement

Skills and attributes

• A reasonable understanding of computers.
• Experience in customer service and/or office administration is desirable.
• The ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with differing needs.
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated computer skills and the ability to learn to use new programs.
• Have a commitment to safe work practices to ensure C4L maintains an environment free of harm
• a Cert 3 in Business Administration is an advantage but not essential.
