Business Development Manager – Oz Arab Media & AIM
Location: Milperra, NSW / Hybrid
Type: Volunteer – Commission-Based
Hours: Flexible
Remuneration: No base salary. Commission is available on eligible advertising, sponsorships and partnerships personally secured.
About the Role
Oz Arab Media (OAM) is a multicultural media organisation delivering news, radio, podcasts, interviews, video and event coverage. The Australian International Multicultural Association (AIM) is a not-for-profit organisation delivering multicultural events, community programs, youth initiatives and other projects.
We are seeking a confident and motivated Volunteer Business Development Manager to develop advertising, sponsorship and partnership opportunities for both organisations.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and approach potential advertisers, sponsors and corporate partners.
Promote OAM advertising and media opportunities.
Secure sponsorships for AIM events and community programs.
Generate and follow up leads through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking and meetings.
Build relationships with businesses and community organisations.
Present sponsorship and advertising packages and help develop customised proposals.
Attend selected business, community and high-profile networking events.
Identify new revenue and partnership opportunities.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills who is confident approaching businesses and decision-makers.
Experience in sales, business development, advertising, sponsorship, marketing, fundraising or media is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of Sydney's multicultural business community is beneficial. Arabic is encouraged but not mandatory.
