About us

The Knox Toy Library is a volunteer run, not-for-profit that has been supporting families in the Knox community for over 45 years.

We offer a wide range of fun and educational toys, games, and activities for loan at an affordable price. Our toys are chosen to help children learn and grow through play, and our board games provide entertainment for the whole family to enjoy together.

Our collection caters to children from birth to middle primary, with something for every stage of development. Membership gives families access to more toys and games than they might usually have, helping children explore, make choices, and learn through their decisions.

The Knox Toy Library is also a welcoming place for parents and caregivers to connect and share experiences, bringing people together from all backgrounds in our community.

Purpose of the Role

The Partnerships Coordinator sits on the general committee and builds relationships between the Knox Toy Library and the wider community, helping more families discover what we offer. This role involves connecting with local organisations, exploring opportunities to collaborate, and helping bring joint events or promotions to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with local organisations such as Knox Council's Early Years team, Maternal Child Health, local libraries and other community groups.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to work together, whether through joint events, promotions or shared projects.
  • Report back to the committee on partnership opportunities and progress.

Who This Role Would Suit

This role would suit someone who's outgoing, enjoys networking and likes spotting opportunities others might miss. No formal experience required, just enthusiasm for the Knox Toy Library and a willingness to make introductions.

Benefits for committee members

Free membership, free party pack hire, extended borrowing time, and first dibs on new toys as they arrive.
