Every dollar raised supports Kinds of Happiness (KOH), a charity dedicated to empowering disadvantaged youth in regional and rural Australia through mentoring, farming programs, and skills development. About the Role

As our HR Coordinator, you will help volunteers feel welcomed, supported, and valued from their very first enquiry through to their ongoing involvement with LMA. This is a genuinely rewarding, people-focused role, perfect for someone who enjoys variety, likes helping things run smoothly, and wants their time to count.

  • Supporting the coordination of volunteer recruitment activities, including monitoring applications and assisting with scheduling interviews.
  • Assisting with onboarding new volunteers, including preparing welcome materials and tracking onboarding progress.
  • Supporting offboarding processes for departing volunteers, including record updates and exit communications.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records in the Recruitment and Onboarding Trackers.
  • Assisting with volunteer compliance administration, such as Working with Children Check and National Police Check follow ups.
  • Helping to draft and refine internal and external P&C communications, including emails and Facebook group updates.
  • Supporting volunteer engagement initiatives that help volunteers feel connected, valued, and supported.
  • Attending and actively participating in the weekly P&C team meeting
  • Assisting with other P&C administrative tasks as needed.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using digital tools such as Google Workspace and shared trackers.
  • Clear and professional written communication.
  • Reliable and able to commit to 5 hours per week, including the weekly team meeting.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support a small volunteer team.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in HR, recruitment, administration, or a coordination role.
  • Interest in the not-for-profit or community sector.
  • Experience working with volunteers.
