Lifestyle Markets Australia Inc. (LMA) is a registered charity and not-for-profit bringing communities together through family focused fundraisers, markets and events across Victoria.

Proceeds from our events support Kinds of Happiness (KOH), a charity helping disadvantaged youth in regional and rural Australia through mentoring, farming programs, and skills development.

We are growing again with new and exciting events scheduled over the next 12 months and we are looking for passionate people to join our team as Volunteer Event Planners.

If you love organising events, enjoy connecting with people, and want to make a real difference for young people from rural and regional backgrounds, we would love to hear from you.

This is a flexible, volunteer opportunity with the chance to be part of a dedicated, supportive, and fun team. You will work remotely with the need to be available to attend events in person as required.

About the Role:

As a Volunteer Event Planner, you will help support the coordination and delivery of fundraising and community events that directly contribute to opportunities for rural and regional youth.

You will work collaboratively with the team to assist in planning engaging events, securing sponsorship support, and helping create memorable experiences for attendees and supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend training and team huddles to get up to speed
  • Coordinate with local makers, stallholders, businesses, vendors, community groups, associations, and on-site staff to keep events running smoothly
  • Help manage event calendars and deadlines
  • Support the identification of grant and sponsorship opportunities
  • Assist with the preparation of supporting documentation for applications as required
  • Maintain vendor licences and compliance documentation in accordance with relevant rules and regulations
  • Respond to event-related enquiries
  • Work with internal teams on promotions, registrations, and communications
  • Maintain accurate records to support team visibility and coordination

We are looking for someone who:

  • Willingness to learn, develop, remaster skills and build strong professional connection with other volunteers
  • Clear, friendly, and professional written communication
  • Attention to detail and ability to juggle tasks
  • Reliable, proactive and self motivated
  • Comfortable supporting online meetings, shared documentation, and digital tools like Google Workspace
