Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre is seeking a passionate and creative volunteer instructor to support our Women’s Creative Wellbeing Program. This program is designed for women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and newly arrived refugee backgrounds, providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where participants can build confidence, develop creative skills, and strengthen social connections.

The volunteer will assist in facilitating weekly creative workshops over a 6-week program. Workshops will include activities such as knitting, candle making, key ring making, beads making, and other handmade craft activities. The final week will include a community exhibition and celebration event showcasing participants’ creative work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Guiding and supporting participants during workshop activities
• Demonstrating creative craft-making techniques
• Encouraging participation in a supportive and culturally respectful manner
• Assisting with workshop setup and pack-up
• Supporting a positive and inclusive group environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Has skills or experience in arts, crafts, or handmade products
• Is friendly, patient, and supportive
• Enjoys working with multicultural communities
• Has good communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous teaching or workshop experience is welcomed but not essential
