Volunteer Coordinator

The Goolwa Community Centre is currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to manage processing and rostering of volunteers for on-site programs and develop social activities and training opportunities for volunteers. Key responsibilietes are:
- Update volunteer registration forms, position descriptions and induction package
- Provide new volunteers with application forms and SAPOL checks and submit volunteer contact information to DHS (Department of Human Services) and SAPOL for clearances, following up when necessary.
- Monitor and update mandatory checks
- Maintain a current database of volunteers with their registration form, contact details, role, time commitment, Centrelink status as well as secure filed copies
- Develop and maintain volunteer roster; being the primary point of contact for changes in rostering
- Consult with volunteers and Centre manager to develop volunteer social activities, rewards and training programs to meet the Centre’s and volunteers’ needs
- Coordinate volunteer meetings, developing agenda and minutes
Essential Skills and Experience
- Efficient in Microsoft Office
- Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Must be personable and collaborative and contribute to a positive Centre culture
