Meal Delivery Driver

Every weekday across the Central Coast, Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver more than just a meal — they deliver friendship, reassurance, and a moment of connection that can make someone’s day.
For many clients, your visit may be the only friendly face they see that day.
As a Meal Delivery Driver, you’ll collect pre-packed meals from your local Meals on Wheels outlet and deliver them to older people and people living with disability in the community. Along the way, you’ll provide a brief wellbeing check, a warm hello, and the comfort of knowing someone cares.
This role is ideal for people who enjoy meeting others, giving back to their community, and making a genuine difference through simple acts of kindness.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver fresh or frozen meals to clients in the local community
- Provide friendly social interaction and a brief welfare check at each delivery
- Report any concerns about a client’s wellbeing to staff
- Complete a simple run log at the end of your shift
- Help bring connection and independence to people living at home
What’s involved:
- Morning shifts, Monday to Friday
- Use of your own vehicle required
- Meals and routes are pre-packed and organised for you
- MOWCC uniform provided
- Ability to lift Meal Eskies (approx. 4–12kg)
Requirements:
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Check (arranged by Meals on Wheels Central Coast)
- Friendly, reliable and caring attitude
- Flu vaccination recommended
Join the team helping older people and people with disability stay connected, supported, and independent in their own homes.
