About Us
Get Around Caboolture is a grassroots community not-for-profit working to make transport in Caboolture and Morayfield easier, safer, and more reliable for everyone—whether they drive, walk, cycle, or use public transport.
We support
- People who can’t drive
- People who don’t drive
- People who want reliable alternatives or backup options when driving isn’t practical
Through community organising, advocacy, our Streets and People podcast, social media, and local events, we work to build support for safer streets, better public transport, and more connected communities.
The Role: Fundraising Coordinator
We’re looking for a community-minded volunteer to help us build the financial support needed to grow our impact.
This role is about more than fundraising—it’s about helping local people invest in a more connected, accessible, and resilient community.
You’ll help identify practical fundraising opportunities, strengthen community support, and help ensure our projects and events can continue sustainably.
Key Tasks
-
Explore fundraising opportunities: Research community fundraising ideas and increasing donations suitable for a small grassroots organisation.
-
Coordinate community fundraising activities: Help organise low-key fundraising initiatives connected to events, campaigns, or local partnerships.
-
Build local relationships: Connect with local businesses, community organisations, and supporters who may want to contribute financially or in-kind.
-
Support communications: Work with the social media and communications team to share fundraising campaigns and supporter updates.
-
Track fundraising activity: Help keep simple records of applications, donations, sponsorships, and outcomes.
About You
You don’t need professional fundraising experience—we’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and believes in community-driven change.
You might be a good fit if you:
- Enjoy building relationships and connecting with people
- Can communicate clearly and professionally
- Like researching ideas and opportunities
- Are organised and able to follow through on tasks
- Care about fairness, inclusion, and stronger communities
- Experience with fundraising, community events, or administration is helpful but not essential.
Why Volunteer With Us?
- Help grow a meaningful local movement
- Build practical experience in fundraising and community development
- Develop skills in thinking outside the box
- Flexible volunteering with supportive people
- Make a direct contribution to safer, more connected communities
Why This Role Matters
Community change takes people—but it also takes resources.
By helping secure funding and support, you’ll help make it possible for more local voices to be heard, more events to happen, and more people to stay connected to education, work, and community life.
