Volunteer Grant Writer – Help Build Opportunity Through Education

About Us Full Circle Social Enterprises is an Australian registered charity and DGR-endorsed social enterprise working to expand choice, agency and opportunity for young people growing up within unequal systems.

We currently partner with schools in India to deliver leadership development, mentoring and employability programs for disadvantaged students. Our work focuses on long-term systems change through education, empowerment and human-centred design.

Our organisation operates largely pro-bono, powered by passionate volunteers, educators and professionals who believe in creating a more just and peaceful world.

Full Circle is the recipient of the 2025 IABCA Community Services Excellence Award, and our founder has also been invited to receive the Global Women’s Peace Ambassador Award at the Global Women’s Peace Network National Assembly 2026.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and values-aligned Volunteer Grant Writer to support our Advisory Member and leadership team in identifying, developing and submitting grant and funding applications.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has experience in grant writing, fundraising, philanthropy or communications
  • Enjoys research and storytelling
  • Wants to use their skills to create meaningful social impact
  • Is looking to contribute to an organisation with strong purpose and heart

You will play an important role in helping us grow sustainable funding pathways that directly support children and communities experiencing disadvantage.

Responsibilities

  • Research grant, philanthropic and sponsorship opportunities aligned to our mission
  • Assist with drafting compelling grant applications and funding proposals
  • Help tailor applications to different funders and priorities
  • Work collaboratively with our Advisory Member and leadership team
  • Support the development of impact statements, program summaries and funding narratives
  • Maintain a simple grants pipeline or tracking process
  • Contribute ideas for long-term funding sustainability

Skills & Experience We would love to hear from people with:

Strong written communication skills Experience in grant writing, fundraising, community development or not-for-profit work Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Research and organisational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Alignment with our values of compassion, dignity, justice and peace

Experience within the charity, education or social impact sectors is highly regarded, but not essential.
