Join the amazing and diverse volunteer group at Makerspace Adelaide. We have a group of around 20 general volunteers who operate our wonderful space, and a smaller group of volunteers who form our Operations Team.

Our organisation is growing, and we are on the lookout for a Volunteer Coordinator to help manage our group of volunteers, and on-board new volunteers. Many of our processes and systems are in place, but need an extra set of eyes to help keep them running smoothly.

You will be part of our Operations Team (6 members), who meet fortnightly to help keep our space functioning, and ensure that volunteers and patrons are looked after.

Skills we are looking for:

• Excellent human-centred skills such as interpersonal skills and conflict resolution
• Excellent computer skills to help monitor our digital training system and communicate with volunteers
• Experience in training or onboarding volunteers
• Experience with Google Workspace

What you will be responsible for:

• Creating a weekly roster from volunteer availability
• Ensuring any concerns or queries from volunteers are addressed by the Operations Team in fortnightly meetings
• Helping to organise our Friday night Social Club each fortnight
• Working with the Ops Team to onboard new volunteers using our digital training system
• Processing new volunteers' details through the DCSI Screening system
