About the Role

Are you someone who enjoys meaningful conversation and making a difference in someone’s day?

CatholicCare Sydney is seeking compassionate volunteers to regularly visit older people living at home or aged care who are feeling lonely or isolated.

Just a small amount of your time – 1–2 hours a fortnight – can bring enormous joy, comfort, and connection to someone who truly values your presence.

What You will Do

• Visit an older person in their home for a friendly chat or social outing
• Build a genuine, ongoing connection based on kindness and companionship
• Offer emotional support and help reduce loneliness
• Experience your own sense of belonging as you expand your horizons and give back to community
