The About CoRE Learning Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in resource sector education and development.

They are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join their Board as a Volunteer Treasurer, bringing financial expertise to support the organisation’s strategic growth, governance, and long-term impact.

This role will provide financial oversight, governance support, and strategic financial advice to help ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability, accountability, and integrity.

The Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role within a purpose-driven organisation making a genuine difference.

Working closely with the Chair, CEO, Board, Finance Sub-Committee, and contracted bookkeeper, you will help guide strong financial governance and support informed strategic decision-making.

This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the resource sector while supporting the organisation’s ongoing growth and impact.

About You You are a financially capable and collaborative professional with experience in financial oversight, governance, and reporting. You bring a strong understanding of financial management, ideally within a not-for-profit environment, and are confident contributing at Board level.

You are motivated by purpose-driven work and committed to supporting an organisation that contributes to the future of the resource sector through education and development.

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in financial reporting, oversight, and compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial controls
  • Ability to provide strategic financial advice to support organisational growth
  • Previous Board or governance experience is highly desirable
  • Experience working collaboratively with Boards, CEOs, and external financial advisors
  • A genuine commitment to the values and purpose of the organisation
