Retail & Admin Volunteers Mission to Seafarers Sydney

The Mission to Seafarers Sydney is currently seeking friendly and reliable Retail & Administrative Volunteers to support our day-to-day operations and help us provide essential services to international seafarers visiting Sydney and our Centre.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding role where you assist with:

• Supporting our onsite retail shop

• General administrative tasks and data entry

• Welcoming and assisting visitors from diverse cultural backgrounds

• Providing customer service and support to seafarers

• Assisting the team with the day-to-day centre operations.

Who We Are Looking For

We warmly welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, particularly those seeking Centrelink-approved volunteer opportunities. You are:

• Friendly, calm, and approachable

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Reliable, organised, and punctual

• Comfortable engaging with people from diverse cultural backgrounds

• A team player with a willingness to learn

Time Commitment

• 1-2 days per week

• 4-6 hours per day

• Flexible scheduling - days & times can be discussed to suit your availability
