Client Technology Innovation

Purpose of the Role
The Client Technology Innovation Volunteer will play a key role in supporting Guide Dogs NSW/ACT’s mission to enhance digital inclusion and improve Client experience through technology. Working alongside the GM Innovation and the broader innovation team, this volunteer will contribute insights, research, and project support to help shape the development and rollout of Client-centred technology initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about innovation, accessibility, and using technology to empower people with blindness or low vision.
Location
St Leonards Office or hybrid (once a week in office).
Commitment
Flexible, approximately 4–6 hours per week for 3–6 months, immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of accessible and inclusive technology products and services for Clients.
- Assist with market and user research, helping identify gaps and opportunities in Client technology.
- Participate in brainstorming and co-design sessions to help translate service design into practical, user-friendly solutions.
- Support the creation of prototypes, testing processes, and the collection of feedback from Clients and stakeholders.
- Help document findings, create reports, and contribute to project evaluation and improvement activities.
- Contribute ideas to promote awareness and understanding of digital inclusion.
- Maintain a strong focus on accessibility, innovation, and collaboration.

- An understanding of, or interest in, accessibility and inclusion for people with blindness or low vision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
(Previous professional experience in product management, UX design, or digital innovation is welcomed but not essential.)
