The Operations Coordinator is a brand new role, created to take the day-to-day coordination load off our founder so he can focus on strategy and growing our reach. Just as importantly, it builds organisational resilience, ensuring key knowledge and tasks aren't held by a single person.

Because no one has held this role before, it will evolve based on what the organisation needs and what you bring to it. We ask for a minimum of 10 hours per week, with full flexibility on when those hours are worked.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the founder by taking on operational and administrative tasks
• Coordinating harvest logistics — transport, equipment, and volunteer fuel reimbursements
• Administering our CRM system and supporting Harvest Leaders to use it effectively
• Developing clear, repeatable processes from fruit enquiry through to distribution
• Maintaining records of harvests, volunteer hours, fruit volumes, and recipient organisations
• Liaising with partner organisations (OzHarvest, Foodbank, SecondBite) for larger harvests
• Supporting grant applications with accurate data and impact reporting

Practical Details

• Performed remotely from home; Adelaide-based preferred
• Flexible scheduling, minimum 10 hours per week
• Police check required — cost covered by Fruit Share Adelaide
• Volunteer role with a pathway to paid as funding develops
