Social Media & Digital Content Support

We’re looking for a Social Media support person to help bring the vibrant and much-loved Braddon Busking Festival to life online. We’re offering two flexible options, depending on your availability and interest:

Option 1 - Busking Festival Social Media Support (Short-Term) • Up to 5 hours per week • February & March • Focused solely on supporting the Busking Festival • Working under the guidance of our Marketing & Promotions Manager

Option 2 - Busking Festival + Ongoing Community Social Media Support • Busking Festival: Up to 5 hours per week in February & March • Ongoing Support: Up to 1 hour per week for the rest of the year • Support both the festival and the wider community organisation year-round • A great option if you’re looking for consistent, light ongoing work

About the Role - You’ll help create and schedule engaging social media content that celebrates local talent, builds excitement for events, and strengthens our connection with the community. This role is ideal for: • Students or emerging professionals • People looking to expand their digital marketing or communications skillset • Anyone passionate about arts, events, and community life

Key Responsibilities - Busking Festival (with Marketing & Promotions Manager support): • Assist with social media content planning and scheduling • Create simple, engaging posts (images, short videos, stories, captions) • Promote performers, sponsors, event date, location, and key updates • Help capture and share the buzz during the festival • Respond to comments or messages as directed Ongoing Community Organisation Support (Option 2 only): • Share updates, events, and community stories • Maintain a friendly, consistent online presence • Assist with basic content planning and scheduling

What We’re Looking For - You don’t need to be an expert—we’re more interested in enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Ideally, you’ll have: • A good understanding of platforms like Instagram and Facebook (TikTok would be great too!) • An eye for engaging content and clear communication • Basic skills in using relevant tools or apps to create content (e.g. Canva) • Reliability and good time management • An interest in arts, events, or community organisations
