Sydney Lifeguards Take on the Ultimate Challenge!

Join us at Clovelly Beach as Sydney’s lifeguards push their limits in the inaugural Lifeguards for Life Challenge! This 24-hour run-swim-run event helps raise vital funds for Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland.

February 27-28, 2026

Volunteer shifts are approximately 4 - 5 hours. Friday shifts are between 7:30am - 10:30pm. Saturday shifts are from 7:30am - 10am.

Come down, cheer them on, and support a cause that saves lives!

Volunteer Roles include:

- Event Set-up & Pack-down Help setup event signage, marquees and decorations, and assist with moving key event material around to assist with the flow of the event during the day.

- Registration Welcome the Lifeguards and run-swim-run volunteers, sign them in and ensure they have everything they need to complete their endurance course.

- Course Marshals Support our Lifeguards by helping monitor areas of the course, guiding participants and helping maintain a safe environment throughout the course. Cheer the Lifeguards on as they complete the course, provide directions around the course and offer water & support at the finish line.

- Promo Team Bring your brightest smiles as you engage with the public, hand out promotional materials, and represent our Lifeguards for Life event with enthusiasm and energy.

No prior experience is needed – just a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to be part of a fun, energetic team.
