About Works of Faith

Works of Faith is a Christian-based charity dedicated to supporting homeless people with high-quality essentials, including organic food and dignity-focused services. Guided by Christian values of compassion, service, and care, we aim to enhance the lives of those we serve by offering meaningful, respectful support.

We are a newly established charity, registered with the ACNC, and operate as a company limited by guarantee.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Executive Manager (Volunteer) to lead the day-to-day operations of Works of Faith. This is a unique opportunity to grow and manage a new charity from the ground up, working closely with the board to implement strategic objectives, develop programs, and engage with the community.

  • This role is not a board or director position and does not carry legal director responsibilities under the Corporations Act.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including program delivery, logistics, and supplier coordination

  • Lead fundraising efforts, including event planning, donor engagement, and grant applications

  • Recruit, coordinate, and manage other volunteers

  • Maintain clear reporting and communications with the board

  • Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, implementing new processes and initiatives

  • Represent Works of Faith in community partnerships and stakeholder engagement

  • Ensure programs and operations reflect the charity’s Christian values and mission

Skills & Experience

Must-have:

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills

  • Experience managing volunteers and/or teams

  • Fundraising or community engagement experience

  • Strategic planning and operational management capabilities

Desirable (but not required):

  • Previous charity or non-profit experience

  • Familiarity with budgeting, reporting, and compliance

    Marketing, communications, or growth experience

  • Alignment with Christian values and faith-based service
