Do you enjoy connecting with people from different cultures? We are seeking a Volunteer English Class Assistant to support our Wednesday morning English class, held during school terms. You’ll work alongside the facilitator with a small group of participants, helping to create a warm, welcoming and fun space to practise English through conversation and activities.

In this role, you will assist the English Class Facilitator to support a small group of participants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Classes are relaxed and interactive, designed to be enjoyable while giving participants the opportunity to practise their English in a supportive environment.

Sessions may include group discussions about current affairs, travel and everyday topics, as well as fun activities such as board games to encourage conversation and confidence.

Key duties include:

Supporting participants during class discussions and activities

Encouraging conversation and English practice in a friendly, inclusive way

Assisting the facilitator to ensure sessions run smoothly and are enjoyable for all
