About Invisible Injuries

Invisible Injuries is an Australian not-for-profit charity supporting the mental health and wellbeing of veterans, first responders, and their support networks through trauma-informed, peer-led programs.

Our organisation is values-driven and professionally run, with a strong focus on building sustainable systems that allow our community impact to grow responsibly.

About the Role

We are seeking an Ops & Admin Support Volunteer to assist with the operational and administrative systems that support our programs, volunteers, and partnerships.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, structure, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. The role is flexible and designed to fit around your availability.

Location & Flexibility

Volunteers from any state or territory are welcome. Many roles can be supported online or remotely, while some opportunities may involve in-person programs depending on location and availability. This will be discussed during the EOI process.

Key Duties

Depending on your experience and interests, you may assist with:

  • Supporting day-to-day administrative tasks and workflows
  • Helping maintain records, documents, and shared files
  • Assisting with scheduling, coordination, or tracking tasks
  • Supporting program logistics or volunteer coordination
  • Helping refine simple systems, templates, or processes
  • Providing general operational support to the team

This role does not involve frontline participant support.

Skills & Experience (Preferred)

You don’t need to meet every criterion. Helpful experience may include:

  • Administration, operations, or office support
  • Working with digital tools such as Google Workspace
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
  • Interest in mental health, wellbeing, or community impact

Why Volunteer With Us

  • Be part of a professionally structured, values-led organisation
  • Contribute to preventative mental health support
  • Flexible time commitment that respects your availability
  • Clear role boundaries and supportive onboarding
  • Help strengthen systems designed to last

You do not need to be a veteran or first responder to apply.

Impact of This Role

Your support helps ensure Invisible Injuries’ programs run smoothly and sustainably. By strengthening operational systems, you directly contribute to the delivery of mental health and wellbeing support for veterans and first responders.
