Duties

  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
  • Process and review expenses on a weekly basis, ensuring all transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and comply with internal policies.
  • Update Bank Rules monthly for recurring and event-specific transactions.
  • Process and review monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update the organisational budget in Xero.
  • Manage user access permissions in Xero to ensure appropriate access controls.
  • Maintenance of Chart of Accounts and Project Codes to enable effective reporting.

Education

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.

Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar finance or bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of financial compliance and reporting requirements for not-for-profits.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead financial planning and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with great communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a volunteer-led environment.
