As a Journalist, you will:

  • Work with the Branding Team and collaborate with the Central Marketing Team to ensure consistent brand tone, messaging, and positioning across all channels.
  • Interview event participants and internal volunteers to create authentic brand stories that showcase CLCN’s impact and community.
  • Ensure all content aligns with CLCN’s brand guidelines, values, and strategic objectives.
  • Review engagement insights and feedback to continuously improve brand messaging and content effectiveness

  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with digital and social media platforms.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and responsible handling of information.
  • Interest in community-focused, multicultural, or not-for-profit initiatives.

Why Volunteer With CLCN?

  • Join Australia’s first-of-its-kind grassroots talent incubator, and a recognised ACNC-registered not-for-profit supporting international students, skilled migrants, and emerging professionals.
  • Develop real employability through hands-on project experience, structured career pathways, leadership development, and exposure to industry mentors.
  • Receive individual talent mapping and a personalised development pathway, including an Individual Development Plan (IDP) and Professional Development Plan (PDP) aligned to your goals.
  • Build a strong professional network across universities, government, industry, and multicultural communities.
  • Participate in regular learning and reflection, including monthly training sessions, focus groups, and skills-based workshops.
  • Be supported through a structured buddy system, wellbeing initiatives, and ongoing volunteer care.
  • Gain formal recognition for your contribution, including testimonials, certificates, references, and portfolio development support.
  • Take part in team bonding, social events, and organisation-wide initiatives, contributing to CLCN’s culture, direction, and future growth.
