Commitment: 8–10 hours/week

**About the Role ** We are seeking a Public Relationship Manager & Assistant to support and strengthen external relationships with community organisations, industry partners, student associations, and key stakeholders.

Both positions support the coordination and maintenance of CLCN’s external relationships and public-facing partnerships. The roles work closely with leadership and internal teams to build meaningful collaborations, support community engagement initiatives, and help ensure relationships are maintained consistently and professionally across South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

As the Public Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development and ongoing management of external relationships with community organisations, industry partners, student associations, and other stakeholders aligned with CLCN’s mission.
  • Identify, assess, and initiate new partnership opportunities that support CLCN programs, events, and strategic priorities.
  • Develop, review, and manage Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and partnership agreements in collaboration with leadership.
  • Oversee and maintain community association lists, industry partner lists, and key stakeholder registers, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and oversee communication plans and outreach plans for external engagement, including timelines, objectives, and follow-up actions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align partnerships with program needs, events, and organisational objectives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate external stakeholder meetings and regular catch-ups, including preparation of agendas, follow-ups, and action tracking.
  • Attend internal meetings and catch-ups related to partnerships, public relationships, and organisational priorities.

As the Public Relationship Assistant, you will:

  • Support the coordination and maintenance of relationships with external stakeholders under the direction of the Public Relationship Manager.
  • Assist with outreach activities and follow-ups in line with agreed communication and outreach plans.
  • Support the maintenance of community association lists, industry partner lists, and stakeholder contact registers.
  • Assist with drafting, updating, and organising MOUs, partnership records, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications, meetings, agreements, and engagement outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of partnership-related activities, meetings, and initiatives, helping keep actions and timelines moving.
  • Attend internal meetings and catch-ups and support external partner meetings as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, community engagement, communications, or administrative support, ideally within the NFP, community, or student sector.
  • Someone who is reliable and consistent, communicates clearly, and helps keep work progressing. While constant availability isn’t expected, being responsive and engaged is important for effective teamwork.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to social impact, equity, and community inclusion.
  • Qualifications in communications, public relations, community development, business, or a related field are desirable, or equivalent experience.
