The Geelong Canoe Club (GCC) is a vibrant, community-driven club located on the beautiful Barwon River. We’re passionate about paddling, adventure, community connection, and getting people of all ages out on the water.

We run a range of programs - from beginner sessions and school programs to community events and holiday activities - and we’re looking for someone who can help amplify our story and engage the wider community.

What You’ll Do

• Create and publish engaging content across Facebook and Instagram
• Share updates on club events, school programs, holiday activities, and training sessions
• Celebrate member achievements and highlight community impact stories
• Help grow our online presence and reach new audiences
• Ensure our messaging is consistent, positive, and aligned with club values
• Capture or collect photos/videos at events (optional)
• Work closely with our Communications Committee

What We’re Looking For

• Someone who enjoys social media and has a knack for communication
• Ability to write clear, engaging posts (images, reels, and stories a bonus!)
• Creative eye for content and storytelling
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
• Passion for community sport, paddling or outdoor activities (bonus but not essential)
