Social Media Volunteer

Historic Ketch Falie Inc. is seeking a passionate, creative Social Media Volunteer to help us share the story of the Falie—one of South Australia’s most iconic and historically significant vessels. This is a flexible, remote-friendly opportunity perfect for anyone interested in digital media, heritage, or community storytelling.
Key Duties
As our Social Media Volunteer, you will:
Create short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
Draft and schedule posts that share updates, photos, stories, and volunteer activities
Help grow and engage our online community.y
Capture or repurpose simple video content (recorded on phone is fine)
Support content planning, hashtags, storytelling, and platform-specific trends
Assist with maintaining a consistent brand voice across all platforms.ms
Share educational and heritage-focused content about the Falie and maritime hist.ory
Skills & Experience (Helpful, Not Essential)
We welcome volunteers with any of the following:
Interest in social media, marketing, or digital storytelling
Basic video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, TikTok tools, etc.)
Creative thinking and a friendly communication style
Ability to work independently with light guidance
A passion for history, community, education, or heritage preservation No professional experience required — enthusiasm is just as valuable.

Historic Ketch Falie Inc. is a volunteer-led, community-focused charity dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and sharing the story of the Falie, a 1919-built vessel with deep significance to South Australia’s maritime history. We deliver educational programs, exhibitions, digital outreach, community partnerships, youth engagement initiatives, and innovative heritage projects — all powered by our wonderful volunteers.
