Purpose

Support the mission of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT to break the boundaries that limit people with low vision or blindness.

Role Overview

As an Assistant Receptionist, you will provide a welcoming first point of contact for visitors to our Coffs Harbour office and Low Vision Clinic. Your support ensures the smooth operation of daily office functions and contributes directly to the positive experience of clients, staff, and community members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for visitors to the Coffs Harbour office.
  • Greet and welcome visitors to the Low Vision Clinic.
  • Advise staff of visitor arrivals.
  • Manage visitor sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are kept clean and tidy.
  • Restock kitchen supplies.
  • Complete ad-hoc administrative tasks (e.g., restocking printer paper).

Required Experience and Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic administration skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Additional Accountabilities

Comply with Guide Dogs NSW/ACT Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policy, procedures, and safe work practices.

Time Commitment

We’re seeking volunteers who can commit to a regular alternating schedule:

3rd Tuesday of the month (4hrs: 11am-3pm)

We are recruiting and onboarding in December and January for the role to commence in February 2026.
