Are you someone with a burning passion and a heart for teaching? Wesley School for Seniors is on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteer tutors/instructors who are ready to inspire—and be inspired. Whether your strengths lie in academic subjects like Sociology or History, or in creative pursuits like dance, music, or games, we’d love to hear from you!
What we're looking for
Experience & Skill
• A solid background in your chosen subject.
• Professional certification for music, health, or wellness-related topics (If applicable)
Teaching Qualities
• Effective Communication: Able to explain ideas clearly and simply
• Patience: A warm, encouraging teaching style
• Adaptability: Willing to tailor lessons to different learning levels
• Supportive Presence: Ability to create a positive, welcoming learning environment
Commitment
As a volunteer tutor/instructor, you’ll be asked to commit to: • 1–2 hours per week
• Any time between 10am–4pm, Monday to Friday (subject to class availability for in-person classes)
• Term 1 commences on Monday, 2 February, and concludes on Friday, 2 April 2026.
• Flexibility to teach in-person or online
Our school is conveniently located in Sydney’s CBD, just moments from Town Hall and St James stations.
