Christmas Toy Hamper Packing

We support local community families who are struggling to afford Christmas gifts for their children by giving them a hamper of toys for each of their children

A volunteer Christmas Toy Hamper Packer assists parents and carers to choose the right toy/s for their children!

The role activities include:

In the toy room:

• Connect with the community members and assist them as they choose the toys they would like.

• Ensure the community member takes a bag for their toys.

• Advise families on how many toys they can choose.

• Provide an encouraging and supportive presence for the community members as they come in and browse then choose their toys.

• Make sure they know they can choose some wrapping paper to take with them.

Hospitality:

• Offering community members a cuppa and a friendly conversation.

• If the community member seems distressed or requires additional support, please see the Corps Officer for assistance.

This will take place on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th December from 9am to 1pm. Looking for a group of volunteers to do one day or both days.
