Adele House - Volunteer Support

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW

Logo for St Vincent de Paul Society NSW

Adele House is a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation service. The service offers a holistic suite of programs and treatments to improve health and social outcomes for residents.

There are a variety of support initiatives planned for the residents of Adele House, including gardening, job readiness and woodwork. We are looking for experienced, kind and patient people to help facilitate these programs, helping to develop life skills and social confidence in those attending.

This is a volunteering opportunity for those aged 18 or older, and a challenging but rewarding experience for those interested in teaching, facilitating and working in community.

As a volunteer you would be assisted and supervised by staff at all times. You will be responsible for supporting the session, or running the session if you feel equipped and confident. The on-site staff will also handle the rostering and can be flexible on session times based on your availability.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about this opportunity and how you could get involved!

The St Vincent de Paul Society assists people experiencing poverty and inequality and works to shape a more just and compassionate society. We assist in offering “a hand up” to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope, and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny.

The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW (the Society) is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation. The Society has developed a clear, accountable and transparent Policy and Procedures to ensure that it complies with relevant legislation and that all children and young people who come into contact with the Society are kept safe and are supported to the best of our capacity.
