Join us to help restore habitat along the Upper Georges River and Bunbury Curran Creek and make a real difference to some of Australia's most iconic wildlife species!

Who knew you could spot Koalas, Kangaroos, and Platypus so close to the city? Wander through the fairy-garden-like Grey Myrtle Forest, marvel at towering gums along the rugged Georges River, and keep an eye out for the area’s elusive locals! Don’t worry if you miss them—there’s no shortage of fascinating creatures to discover; including the threatened Gang-gang Cockatoo and Grey-headed Flying fox.

By taking direct action for nature you will tackle the biggest threats to this special place - weed invasion and litter pollution. Your efforts will reconnect habitats and create healthier ecosystems for the benefit of numerous native species as well as the millions of people who live, work and play along the Georges River.

Along the way, you’ll get some exercise, meet like-minded people, recharge, and immerse yourself in a wild, rugged landscape just a stone’s throw from the city—a perfect mix of adventure, wellbeing, and conservation impact.

No experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in! Our friendly team will be on hand to guide and support you throughout the event.

Funded by the Australian Government’s Natural Heritage Trust under the Urban Rivers and Catchments Program, with support from Conservation Volunteers Australia, Campbelltown City Council and the Office of Strategic Lands (NSW).
