St Albans Folk Festival, held annually over the ANZAC Day long weekend, hosts musicians, singers, dancers, poets, speakers, and street performers of traditional and contemporary folk. St Albans is a small, beautiful, heritage village on the banks of the MacDonald River in the Hawkesbury (about 90 minutes from Sydney).
We are looking for a volunteer Treasurer to join the organising committee. All organisers of the Festival are volunteers. We welcome applicants who are passionate about events, the arts and the cultural sector.
You will report to the Festival Director and work closely with other members of the committee. Work hours are flexible and are spread throughout the year, with more concentrated periods just before, during, and after the Festival (late April). It is expected that you will make every effort to attend the Festival.
Duties include:

budget management,

paying invoices,

annual reporting,

applying for an ABN, and
-
grant writing (in collaboration with other committee members).
Skills and experience:
*minimum Cert IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent experience,

confident user and problem-solver of ICT, including point of sale apps, and

experience attending folk festivals, or experience as a performer, advantageous but not necessary.
