As a general volunteer your responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital department you are working in e.g. Ward Support - assisting with meals, visiting with patients, helping nursing staff by restocking equipment needed. Patient Support - provide support or companionship to patients during their hospital admittance , especially the frail and older patients. Staff Support - undertaking tasks as directed that assist and support staff such as restocking supplies such as clerical supplies or ensuring adequate supply of equipment needed for patient care e.g. blankets etc. These are just an example of what may be asked of you.
