Volunteer Tutor – Erhu & Chinese Calligraphy & Painting

CCA NSW is seeking passionate and skilled Volunteer Tutors to teach Erhu and Chinese Calligraphy & Painting for our Monday classes in the upcoming first semester (February – early July 2026). This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who wish to share their artistic or musical talent, preserve traditional Chinese culture, and engage with a vibrant multicultural community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly classes in Erhu or Chinese Calligraphy & Painting.
- Develop lesson plans suitable for students of varying skill levels.
- Inspire creativity and cultural appreciation through hands-on learning.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the CCA NSW team to support community cultural programs.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in Erhu performance or Chinese calligraphy/painting techniques.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience (formal or informal) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, reliability, and enthusiasm for community engagement.
