Would you like to brighten someone’s day and make a real difference in their life? Just one hour a week can bring friendship, comfort, and hope to an older person living in residential aged care.

We’re looking for a kind-hearted volunteer to visit a lovely woman living in an aged care home in Hughes who is experiencing social isolation. She would love to connect with someone who shares her cultural background and speaks either Serbian or Croatian.

The ideal applicant will be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.

MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
