NSW SES Incident & Emergency Management Volunteers - Inland Capability Unit

NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is the lead agency for flood, storm, and tsunami response in New South Wales. Behind the scenes of an extended field response is a group of skilled professionals who plan, coordinate, and manage the response to keep communities safe.
The Inland Capability Unit, based in Goulburn, is recruiting volunteers to join its Incident Management Team (IMT). The unit's primary focus is on training and sustaining an Emergency and Incident Management capability for the South Eastern Zone of NSW SES.
Your experience in government, leadership, defence, emergency management, or similar fields can translate into skills that support your community and give you hands on, applied experience.
As part of the IMT you will work within the functions of Control, Operations, Planning, Intelligence, Logistics, and Public Information - to shape strategy, allocate resources, provide community updates, analyse intelligence, and support crews on the ground.
You’ll receive recognised training in incident management and access to development in leadership, decision-making, and coordination. Your existing skills will be valued, and you’ll gain experience in high-tempo emergency environments that translate across sectors.
