We are looking for volunteers to assist residents in our Residential Care Home located at Minto. We would love some volunteers to assist our residents with managing their smart TVs in their rooms. Often the number of options available are overwhelming and few simple tweaks to the set up will enable them to find the programmes they enjoy. You will need to spend some time chatting with each resident to find out what they like to watch and what they find tricky with their TV, then see how you can simplify it for them.

This role may also include downloading music and populating playlists for our residents, assisting in setting up/enabling playlists on devices such as ipods and ipads. Once playlists are ready, helping our residents to be able to access and listen to their chosen music.

Volunteers will receive excellent support from our dedicated staff (who will be so glad to have your help with this) and should find your time volunteering personally rewarding as well. Our residents are incredible individuals with rich stories and life experiences that they often enjoy sharing. They are always eager to connect, as time spent with visitors brings joy and enriches their lives.
